A little update

The past month I have been horrible at taking pictures. I have been enjoying Korver so much, and I think I could sit and hold him all day long. I pretty much do just snuggle him all day, but it has been so nice this time around. He has been such a good baby and so content. He only gets fussy if he has gas or he's ready to eat. I felt like when I had Trey it was hard to sit down and relax because he and Lexi were still both babies, and I worked at home in dental school. This time around I'm enjoying every minute because I know how fast the time is going to go. I have enjoyed the space this time around as well, but I would also like Korver to have a playmate so close in age like Lexi and Trey. Lexi and Trey have adjusted really well and love Korver. They think he's pretty great and I've been surprised they haven't been more jealous. Trey keeps me on my toes with some of the stuff he does, but Lexi lets him know what he should and shouldn't be doing!!

Korver is getting big, and even though he's not super chubby besides his face, he is SO long!! I think he's going to be a big kid! He has such big hands, really long legs and arms, and he's really strong. Right after he was born he started lifted his head and looking around. He is so funny how he acts like he knows what's going on and he's only a few weeks old. When I took him in for a weight check at 3 weeks he weighed 9 lbs 11 oz. I'm sure he is now up to ten pounds. He was 90% for height, and 75% for weight. Some of his 0-3 month clothes are getting a little snug on him because he is so long. My recovery has gone well and I'm thankful to good neighbors and my mom for coming out. I couldn't have made it without her out here to help me. I only wish she could've stayed longer!! The kids LOVED having her here and she always makes the kids feel so special, and always goes above and beyond to help me with my house. I always say this but I wish my mom lived closer. I am so jealous of people who live close to their mom. I am lucky to live where I do and I really do have the best neighbors, especially my friend Stephanie. She is the BEST!!
It is pretty amazing how much love a baby can bring into your home. Even though it gets a little crazy with 3 sometimes, and I still hate to go out by myself, I'm glad I have my three kids. I'm lucky to stay at home with them, and having Korver makes our family feel a little more complete!! Can I tell you how great it feels NOT to be pregnant anymore!! I feel like a new person, and I'm glad my little guy is here healthy.

Anonymous said...: Korver is so handsome. His arms and legs look so long! My visit was so great and definitely not long enough. It is always so hard to say good-bye to the little munchkins! Lexi and Trey were so much fun. I loved being with you so much and can I tell YOU how much I envy those Moms out there that have their sons and daughters living close by. Lexi's Funny Moments

9/15/08- Lexi asked Cody if he had to go to work, and he said yes. He asked her why daddy has to work and she said, "because it takes a lot of money."
9/21/08-Lexi had her pretend cell phone out, when all of the sudden I hear her say "oh no I missed a call."
10/15/08-Lexi opened our front door and said "mommy, it smells like elephants out here." It did smell like cow poop outside pretty bad. I had to laugh.
10/23/08- Lexi is playing with her mr. potato head elmo doll. She puts on the mustache and says, "look mommy and daddy, he has a musmache." We couldn't stop laughing.
10/24/08-Lately when Lexi can't get Cody's attention she will first try daddy, and then she will say "hey Cody." She is getting pretty smart!
11/13/08-I asked Lexi if she wanted to go to preschool one day and she said "no, I just want to stay at home with you mommy."
11/13/08- Every night Lexi tells us the sprinkler is bothering her. Cody has to get up on her bed talk to the sprinkler on her ceiling and tell it to be nice so Lexi can go to sleep.
11/13/08-The other day Lexi wasn't up from her nap yet and Trey went to her door and layed by it. Whenever she isn't up he always goes over to her door and starts tapping on it.
