Catching up

The last few weeks have been SO busy and I have so much to catch up on. We are getting settled into our house and we LOVE it!! It has been so nice to have more space and feel like something is finally our own. It has been fun decorating and getting settled. We were able to break it in by enjoying all of Cody's family for Christmas. We had a lot of fun the last few weeks, and the kids really enjoyed hanging out with their cousins. Cody, Kip, and Adam (One of Cody's closest friends) went to the Cardinals game, and we were able to do some fun things in between the flu that hit the entire family. There were 15 people staying at our house, so between all of us being sick we weren't able to be out and about as much as we wanted, but we still had a lot of fun. All of the kids really enjoyed Christmas, and it was so much fun to see how excited our kids got this year. Lexi was really excited about Santa this year and loved opening presents. Trey just loved ripping the wrapping paper. Overall it was a great Christmas season and I can't believe it is really 2009!!

Lexi's Funny Moments

9/15/08- Lexi asked Cody if he had to go to work, and he said yes. He asked her why daddy has to work and she said, "because it takes a lot of money."
9/21/08-Lexi had her pretend cell phone out, when all of the sudden I hear her say "oh no I missed a call."
10/15/08-Lexi opened our front door and said "mommy, it smells like elephants out here." It did smell like cow poop outside pretty bad. I had to laugh.
10/23/08- Lexi is playing with her mr. potato head elmo doll. She puts on the mustache and says, "look mommy and daddy, he has a musmache." We couldn't stop laughing.
10/24/08-Lately when Lexi can't get Cody's attention she will first try daddy, and then she will say "hey Cody." She is getting pretty smart!
11/13/08-I asked Lexi if she wanted to go to preschool one day and she said "no, I just want to stay at home with you mommy."
11/13/08- Every night Lexi tells us the sprinkler is bothering her. Cody has to get up on her bed talk to the sprinkler on her ceiling and tell it to be nice so Lexi can go to sleep.
11/13/08-The other day Lexi wasn't up from her nap yet and Trey went to her door and layed by it. Whenever she isn't up he always goes over to her door and starts tapping on it.
