My 1 year old best friend.

Tonight was one of those nights when you sit back and think how you ever got so lucky to be blessed with all you have. Tonight I walked into my little girls room and as she lay in her bed she said "missed you momma." My heart just melted and I took her out of her crib and as we were rocking and singing she started to tell me all the things she had seen and done that day. Even though she is only just about 2 years old she can carry on quite a conversation with me. Many of you know just by talking to her that she loves to talk, and always wants to know what EVERYTHING is!! Cody and I were talking and we just hope that our children continue to always love us the way they do right now. Sometimes I just look at Lexi and Trey and feel such a huge amount of responsibility for such special little spirits. I truly feel like having kids and spending those special moments with them is the closest thing to heaven.

Lexi's Funny Moments

9/15/08- Lexi asked Cody if he had to go to work, and he said yes. He asked her why daddy has to work and she said, "because it takes a lot of money."
9/21/08-Lexi had her pretend cell phone out, when all of the sudden I hear her say "oh no I missed a call."
10/15/08-Lexi opened our front door and said "mommy, it smells like elephants out here." It did smell like cow poop outside pretty bad. I had to laugh.
10/23/08- Lexi is playing with her mr. potato head elmo doll. She puts on the mustache and says, "look mommy and daddy, he has a musmache." We couldn't stop laughing.
10/24/08-Lately when Lexi can't get Cody's attention she will first try daddy, and then she will say "hey Cody." She is getting pretty smart!
11/13/08-I asked Lexi if she wanted to go to preschool one day and she said "no, I just want to stay at home with you mommy."
11/13/08- Every night Lexi tells us the sprinkler is bothering her. Cody has to get up on her bed talk to the sprinkler on her ceiling and tell it to be nice so Lexi can go to sleep.
11/13/08-The other day Lexi wasn't up from her nap yet and Trey went to her door and layed by it. Whenever she isn't up he always goes over to her door and starts tapping on it.
