Sweet Comment for the Day

Cody has been working a lot the past couple of months, and on top of that been gone to continuing education courses, so the kids haven't been able to see him much, except on Sundays. Last night in her prayers Lexi prayed and said, "I'm thankful to have such a good daddy and get to be with him today." It made Cody choke up and I thought it was so sweet. Cody was watching Star Wars the night before, and for some reason Lexi really got into it with him. She wanted to keep watching all the episodes, so Cody let her and she was so excited. I'm not a big Star Wars fan, so Lexi definitely got that from her dad. Cody says it makes him feel good that even though he can't always be around a lot, that he knows he's making a difference in his kids lives. They love having him around and when Trey thinks Cody's home you can always hear him calling from his crib, "dad, come get me." It is too funny.

Lexi's Funny Moments

9/15/08- Lexi asked Cody if he had to go to work, and he said yes. He asked her why daddy has to work and she said, "because it takes a lot of money."
9/21/08-Lexi had her pretend cell phone out, when all of the sudden I hear her say "oh no I missed a call."
10/15/08-Lexi opened our front door and said "mommy, it smells like elephants out here." It did smell like cow poop outside pretty bad. I had to laugh.
10/23/08- Lexi is playing with her mr. potato head elmo doll. She puts on the mustache and says, "look mommy and daddy, he has a musmache." We couldn't stop laughing.
10/24/08-Lately when Lexi can't get Cody's attention she will first try daddy, and then she will say "hey Cody." She is getting pretty smart!
11/13/08-I asked Lexi if she wanted to go to preschool one day and she said "no, I just want to stay at home with you mommy."
11/13/08- Every night Lexi tells us the sprinkler is bothering her. Cody has to get up on her bed talk to the sprinkler on her ceiling and tell it to be nice so Lexi can go to sleep.
11/13/08-The other day Lexi wasn't up from her nap yet and Trey went to her door and layed by it. Whenever she isn't up he always goes over to her door and starts tapping on it.
