Memorial Weekend

Over Memorial weekend we were supposed to go camping with a few other couples, but on Thursday Lexi got sick and then passed it to Trey. We were bummed not to go camping, but we still had a fun weekend. We made some yummy homemade bread and salsa, watched lots of movies, did some shopping, went out to eat,and enjoyed a few different splash parks after the kids were feeling better. It always stinks when my kids are sick, but it's also nice just to cuddle with them all day. Cody and I get such a kick out of them right now. They do the funniest things and now that Trey copies everything we say, it's so much fun. I am loving the stages that both of my kids are in. I'm going to be so sad when Lexi starts preschool in the fall. The house will be so quiet without her, and I'm sure Trey will miss his playmate on the days she is gone to school.

Lexi's Funny Moments

9/15/08- Lexi asked Cody if he had to go to work, and he said yes. He asked her why daddy has to work and she said, "because it takes a lot of money."
9/21/08-Lexi had her pretend cell phone out, when all of the sudden I hear her say "oh no I missed a call."
10/15/08-Lexi opened our front door and said "mommy, it smells like elephants out here." It did smell like cow poop outside pretty bad. I had to laugh.
10/23/08- Lexi is playing with her mr. potato head elmo doll. She puts on the mustache and says, "look mommy and daddy, he has a musmache." We couldn't stop laughing.
10/24/08-Lately when Lexi can't get Cody's attention she will first try daddy, and then she will say "hey Cody." She is getting pretty smart!
11/13/08-I asked Lexi if she wanted to go to preschool one day and she said "no, I just want to stay at home with you mommy."
11/13/08- Every night Lexi tells us the sprinkler is bothering her. Cody has to get up on her bed talk to the sprinkler on her ceiling and tell it to be nice so Lexi can go to sleep.
11/13/08-The other day Lexi wasn't up from her nap yet and Trey went to her door and layed by it. Whenever she isn't up he always goes over to her door and starts tapping on it.
