Kids Club Girl

Every Thursday Lexi and Trey go to the Superstition Kids Club where they get to sing, dance, and listen to a story. They love it because there is a prairie dog named Duper, who looks like Barney the dinosaur except he is a prairie dog. Trey doesn't do much but bounce to the music, but Lexi loves participating with the other kids. This last time Lexi got to choose either a Duper doll or t-shirt because she read 40 books. Lexi loves books! The other day she opened a pretty long book that we had read a few times and starting reading it word for word to Cody and I. We couldn't believe it! She can't read yet, but her memory is pretty amazing! Lexi was pretty proud of her t-shirt, and didn't want to take it off. She loves t-shirts just like her grandpa Smith.

Unknown said...: Way to go Lexi! Ash you have dones such a great job with her, she is so so smart and I just love her so much! Hallee lately will say, "I read to you mom" and open a book and start reading it, not word for word but she is telling the story in her own words and it is so funnny! We also go to the library every Thursday b/c they do a toddle rading time and read and sing songs and color pictures... Hallee loves it... wish we lived by each other b/c I think our kids would like doing a lot of the same stuff.; September 28, 2008 at 4:01 AM

Lexi's Funny Moments

9/15/08- Lexi asked Cody if he had to go to work, and he said yes. He asked her why daddy has to work and she said, "because it takes a lot of money."
9/21/08-Lexi had her pretend cell phone out, when all of the sudden I hear her say "oh no I missed a call."
10/15/08-Lexi opened our front door and said "mommy, it smells like elephants out here." It did smell like cow poop outside pretty bad. I had to laugh.
10/23/08- Lexi is playing with her mr. potato head elmo doll. She puts on the mustache and says, "look mommy and daddy, he has a musmache." We couldn't stop laughing.
10/24/08-Lately when Lexi can't get Cody's attention she will first try daddy, and then she will say "hey Cody." She is getting pretty smart!
11/13/08-I asked Lexi if she wanted to go to preschool one day and she said "no, I just want to stay at home with you mommy."
11/13/08- Every night Lexi tells us the sprinkler is bothering her. Cody has to get up on her bed talk to the sprinkler on her ceiling and tell it to be nice so Lexi can go to sleep.
11/13/08-The other day Lexi wasn't up from her nap yet and Trey went to her door and layed by it. Whenever she isn't up he always goes over to her door and starts tapping on it.
